An exciting and varied in-house legal role has arisen within the legal services team of a large Southampton-based organisation. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop in-depth and broad in-house legal knowledge and skills.

About you:

• At least 4 years PQE in dealing with commercial law, specifically contracts and IT.
• Experience of employment law, procurement law, property, regulatory compliance, taxation, IP and technology transfer would be advantageous.
• You will have excellent skills in recognising, articulating and analysing complex legal issues.

The role:

• The role involves assisting the Director of Legal Services in the provision of an effective in-house legal and advisory service to the organisation.
• You will be required to give robust and pragmatic legal advice to senior management and staff on a broad range of complex issues, occasionally working with external advisors and third parties.
• You will represent the organisation in negotiations and legal proceedings, as well as draft contacts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Participating in the delivery of training for staff on legal issues.
