We are working with a leading regional accountancy firm with the recruitment of an Audit & Accounts Department Manager for their Southampton office which is basd near Chandler's Ford.

This role would suit someone with supervisory experience, looking to make the next step to Manager. This role does not involve carrying out audits.

The Southampton office is conveniently located just off of the M27, near Eastleigh.

About You

• Should be ACCA or ACA qualified
• At least 4 years practice experience
• Strong academic background
• Looking to join a join a large regional accountancy firm
• Experienced in all aspects of accountancy
• Broad knowledge of accounts
• Must have strong understanding of audit regulations and potential compliance issues
• Recent practical experience in audit is not essential
• Technically strong with good managerial experience
• First class presentation and communication skills

About the role

• Oversee the audit and accounts department supervising a team of 6
• Work closely with the Client Managers
• Plan daily workloads
• Review accounts and audit files
• Ensure cost effective processes
• Instructing junior staff
• Responsible for time management, budget management and billing
