Job Satisfaction
What do you truly want out of life and as a job? Do you want to earn as much income as possible or is job satisfaction more important to you? What about if you could have both?
Or at least maximise your earning potential from who you truly are as a person.
Many of us set out in life, being guided by influences that are not truly our own, we may have been duped into thinking that our parents, peers or society want us to believe that a job is just a job, or to achieve in a career they deem most appropriate for us. To be accepted within society for a profession they most value, or one in which we ourselves think will give us most credibility or the highest level of income. What if however, if this is not true to who we really are as individuals?
It can create great tension and unhappiness within our lives if we are in the wrong vocation, especially when we have moulded our lives around values that are not truly our own, bought houses and created families around other peoples ideals and then begun to realise that this actually isn’t who we really are. It’s no wonder we start to suffer a great degree of dis-ease, get stressed out, start to feel disillusioned or disempowered at work, get made redundant, are fired or are constantly looking for the next slightly higher paid, unfulfilling job in the same sphere.
There is hope however, it is possible through coaching or our own personal development to start to readdress this balance within our lives. To start to become aware of what really matters to us as individuals, where our most natural talents lie, the ones we can do with ease whilst others struggle, what subject matter we are most passionate about that has us enthralled to all hours of the night and the sorts of things that we become angry enough about to truly want to see changed within the world.
It is possible through this mode of enquiry to start to discover what our life’s purpose maybe, to connect with our biggest energy drivers, to become more inspired in the work that we do. It is likely that a combination of these 3 factors, our true talents, passions and angers are going to help us realise where our true vocation may lie or at least the role we might need to play in society to maximise our greatest potential, gain the most job satisfaction and start to realise the lifestyle we have always wanted for ourselves.
Why not start now, take action today and start to question what it is that you truly want out of life and what it is that is truly going to make you happy. What is it that has been burning away inside you all these years that needs to come out to maximise your potential so you can be the best you can be. Start making a list of all those factors that you can authentically call your own and start to decipher where your opportunity really lies, possibly employing a coach to help tease this information out of you, so you can start to gain the training you require or so you can start to apply for the jobs that you are most suited to, leading to the most satisfying career you could ever wish to find.
